The youngest member of ENCLOSURE, Martina Romani, will present the ability of our materials to desalinate chlorides in cinnabar-containing wall paintings. Chlorides are the main enemies for the conservation of this precious mineral pigment, taking part in its transformation. Examples of this last are the cinnabar used in the wall paintings of Pompeii (Italy) or the one used in the Maison Aiôn (France).
